This oversized, all natural storage basket was handwoven by a cooperative of women in a rural mountain village. Woven using palm and banana leaves, which are a plentiful and renewable resource, this basket took about two weeks for an artisan to complete. The pattern was made using non-toxic pigments from seeds, roots, flowers and berries. The basket includes woven handles and a fitted lid, which is authentically Ugandan. It is incredibly sturdy and strong. Use it as a laundry basket, to organize clutter, or as a decorative item.

Each basket is truly one-of-a-kind, and each is individually crafted by an artisan in a fair trade environment in Uganda. Imperfections are what make each of these beautiful baskets so unique.
